As the region’s reputation as a global hub for science and technology businesses continues to grow, bdaily has partnered with Newcastle Science City (NSC) is to launch a dedicated channel for the blossoming industry.
As well as all the up-to-the-minute headlines from the industry, bdaily will also bring readers expert comment and advice features from key players in the sector.
The launch of the science and technology channel corresponds with the creation of Science City TV. The online channel will feature video interviews with business leaders, science experts and forward thinkers, as well as coverage of key events in the North East.
Si Bales, managing director of bdaily, said: “With the rapid pace at which the region’s science and technology industry is growing – and given the vast pool of talent we have here – it’s about time that sector had its own dedicated online channel.
“With our media expertise and NSC’s drive to champion the North East on an international scale, we aim to develop a hugely interactive and informative service that adds real value to regional businesses.”
The NSC ambition is three-fold: to promote Newcastle as city of science excellence in three science areas; ageing & health, stem cell and regenerative medicine and sustainability; to create and support new business ideas; and to ensure the local population, especially young people, can become part of Newcastle’s continued scientific excellence.
