Based on 30 years in business – 14 of which has been spent running his own companies - Gareth Edwards is taking a Workshop on how he has successfully made a living – and even managed the occasional holiday.
The workshop will cover many of the key challenges faced by Small Hi-Tech, Scientific and Media Businesses, including:
· Raising the Venture Funds from Business Angels and Venture Capital
· Starting and stopping a company
· Managing cash flow IN and especially cash flow OUT
· Managing client expectations and payments
· Managing and maintaining commercial networks
· Identifying and managing Intellectual Property (IP)
· Analysing risk, choices and new ideas using techniques such as STEP or STEEPLE
· Presenting consequences and choices to Clients who try to get jobs done in half the time for a quarter of the budget using techniques such as FRT
· Using spreadsheet, graphing and trends to analyse project progress – it can be accurate AND empirical
· Mythical Man Months – when to stop struggling and admit you have gotten it wrong – and what to do about it
If you would like to attend the workshop, please email cluster@dcbusiness.eu to book a place.
Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.
