Representatives from two of the world’s largest music conferences will be visiting Tyneside on September 1st to explain the opportunities available for artists and labels at MIDEM and SXSW in 2011.
Generator visited SXSW for the first time in 2010 on behalf of the region’s music industry and will also be outlining their plans for next year and how businesses and acts can get involved in activities including showcases and samplers at these events and at others.

MIDEM in Cannes, France and SXSW in Austin, USA attract huge numbers of musicians and industry representatives with more than 2,000 bands and 13,000 industry representatives attending SXSW this year and more than 4,500 businesses at MIDEM, the world’s largest music industry trade fair. This introductory seminar is hosted by Generator on behalf of UKTI and is one of a number taking part across the UK in August and September.
