What you need to know before facing funders to help you attract the finance you need for real growth.
From planning the business to presenting to funders for bank debt or venture capital, this course covers the essentials of financing your company and the secrets of success. Designed and delivered for you by business entrepreneurs and professional investors.
Over this 2 day course you will learn about the different types and sources of growth finance and the pro’s and con’s of each. It will also teach you what you need to do to enhance your chances of success in seeking funding.
All too often people go in un-prepared and without understanding the methods and expectations of funders. Learn what it takes to attract the investors and master the funding process for equity or loan. Interactive practical workshops; where you can work with other delegates to prepare or enhance your business case and practice presenting to a panel of real investors.
The course includes exploring issues such as:
• Planning and why do you need the money?
• Assess how much capital do you really need?
• Introduction to types of investment; loan and equity
• Sources of Finance, including the North East Finance for Business funds
• Valuing the business
• Understand the pros and cons and risks in the venture
• Learn how to negotiate and do the deal.
From your perspective: The workshop looks at venture investing from both the point of view of the funder but also the business owner-entrepreneur.
