Technology, society and the future: Changing the world through the internet

The Guardian's Activate Summit is back. After an incredible first year, this unique and powerful gathering of global visionaries returns to the Guardian's headquarters in London for another packed day of ideas and inspiration, providing insight into how the web and the myriad technologies that weave it all together are reshaping our world.

This year's agenda is packed with many of the internet's leading doers and thinkers. They'll be discussing and debating the influence of the web on areas as diverse as global media and finance, the environment, citizenship and access, democracy, government and accountability, education, the developing world, society, health and humanity.

Confirmed keynote speakers include: Joe Cerrell, European director, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; Jan Chipchase, executive creative director of global insights, Frog Design; Ethan Zuckerman, founder, Global Voices; Nigel Shadbolt, director, Web Science Trust and The Web Foundation; Esther Dyson, angel investor; Desiree Miloshevic, board trustee, Internet Society and MTV Networks International president Bill Roedy.
