HealthConnect is the north east network for professionals and organisations working in the healthcare and life sciences sector. The network provides a range of premier support activities and services designed to drive best practice and help our members succeed. HealthConnect brings together healthcare and life sciences professionals and organisations to stimulate translational research, innovation, collaboration as well as commercial opportunities.
Newcastle was designated as one of six UK Science Cities in 2005 in recognition of world-class research being undertaken by its universities and the potential of its science industry base. Newcastle Science City aims to capitalise on cutting-edge scientific research for the economic and social benefit of the north east region and is keen to develop scientific innovation here.
The Enhancing Practice and Innovation Centre for Care (EPICC), in the School of Health & Social Care, brings together the initiatives and innovations which enhance service user care. It promotes employer engagement by providing further opportunities for service colleagues to propose and develop practices which will complement quality, innovation, productivity and prevention. EPICC builds on long established partnerships with practice in health and social care in the region, as well as nationally and internationally, through learning and teaching in a wide range of programmes.
Registration will begin at 4.30pm and there will be the opportunity for networking following the speakers. Refreshments will be served.
