This first aid training course is for those individuals who have been delegated with the appointed persons duties and responsibilities. As a minimum an employer should have an 'appointed person' who can summon prompt medical help and give 'life-saving' first aid (emergency first aid) until help arrives.

 

Course Objectives

  • Understand the legal responsibilities for first aid at work
  • Assist in the assessment for first aid provisions at work
  • Summon prompt medical help
  • Administer emergency first aid until help arrives
  • Manage the accident/indcident record book
  • Manage the first aid equipment held by the employer
 

Course Overview:

This course meets the needs of employers to comply with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, require that all employers and the self employed have suitable first aid cover.Approved Codes of Practice recommend that an assessment is made, and that the level of cover is based on the findings.
